Happy Passover Everyone. Well, my fellow jews at least. I know you are looking forward to long eight days of wonderful, cardboard-like matzah. Nothing says liberation from slavery like not being allowed to eat bread for a week. Good thing pizza friday was canceled this week for some holiday called “good” friday.

Im going to attempt to keep the tradition this year which means no bread, no rice, no popcorn, no chips.. no nothing. Except matzah.. good ol’ matzah. You can make matzah sandwiches, matzah cereal, matzah lasagna and even… yes, a matzah birthday cake! (yes, my birthday is on passover this year and also on this other little holiday known to some as Easter)

When I was little, and my birthday would fall on passover, my parents ACTUALLY used to make me a breadless cake. You can imagine how good that was. We couldnt even get the ice cream cakes cause they had those little cookie sprinkles in them. Im drooling right now thinking about those little sprinkles. Oh wait, im on hour 12 of passover so far.. I need to clear those thoughts from my head if Im going to make it the next 7 days. Wish me luck!

In the meantime.. please enjoy this little video about 20 things you can do with matzah.
